China export standards for Nigeria (NAFDAC / SON)

Nigeria's product conformity framework centres on two primary bodies: the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), which administers the MANCAP (Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme) and NIS (Nigerian Industrial Standards), and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), which governs food, drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics. Many regulated products require SON certification and the NIS mark before import or sale. Nigeria is also part of the ECOWAS regional economic community, and some regional standards apply.
