China export standards for Australia (RCM/AS-NZS)

Australia's primary conformity mark for electrical and electronic products is the RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark), which combines electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Electrical products must be registered with the relevant state and territory regulators, and the applicable technical standards are generally drawn from the AS/NZS series, which in many cases adopts or adapts IEC international standards. For therapeutic goods and medical devices, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is the competent authority. Exporters from China must appoint a local responsible supplier. The comparison pages below map Chinese technical standards against Australian requirements across key product categories.
