China export standards for South Korea (KC / KATS)
South Korea's unified KC (Korea Certification) mark covers electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and telecommunications equipment requirements administered by several agencies including the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) and the National Radio Research Agency (RRA). Many product categories require KC certification by an accredited body before import. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) governs medical devices and food-related products. Energy efficiency standards are administered by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). Exporters from China must register products with the appropriate Korean authority and meet Korean Industrial Standards (KS) or internationally harmonised references where applicable. The comparison pages below focus on the product categories with the most active export volumes.
